Iceland is Europe's
westernmost country, the second largest island in
the North-Atlantic. Iceland's population totaled
288.201 people of which around 170.000 lived in
the capital, Reykjavik, and surrounding areas.
Iceland is a republic since 17 June 1944.
Independent since 1 December 1918. Iceland has a
strong economy, low unemployment and low
inflation.

Sarajevo is a
relative small town established at the end of the
15th century.
It is settled in the center of Balkans peninsula
at the mouth of East and West. Except of very
tempestuous history, Sarajevo has a very rich
chess tradition.

SCHOOL'S PURPOSE "Play Chess for the better
future" |
|
The Project
«Play chess for the better future» hasn’t only
the purpose – developing new chess masters and
champions. Definitely, we would be happy if that
happens. Chess as a game and way of
consideration helps especially to young people
in developing of their mind, independence,
ability.
The main purpose of this School is: to give the
chance to young people to meet themselves on the
right place in the right time, not to do
something bad on the wrong place in the wrong
time.
